after reading Jasper Fforde's (yeah, weird surname) 'The Eyre Affair', i'd luv to be able to jump frm one bk to another, to be able to change the plot. altho... wat sort of a name is 'Thursday Next' for a woman, or any human being, for tt matter? and Jack Schitt (yes, it's pronounced exactly as u see it, no schitt. hahaha). and Victor Analogy. weird. imagine if i cld get into the original manuscript of Measure for Measure - i'd kill off the duke in act 1 scene 1 so the rest of the pages will be blank (just like wat happened in the eyre affair when Jane Eyre got kidnapped) then no one wld need to study it! i'd haf to get hold of the original manuscript, tho, if not i'll onli be able to change the plot in my copy of the bk. i'd also luv to travel to 'Woman Warrior' and get hold of tt idiotic rabbit in 'White Tiger' to prevent it frm leaping into the fire as a sacrifice for the girl in the story. then the girl wld starve to death and so... no more story! 'my father's face could stop a clock' also, interesting poem/watever in 'The Bad mother's handbk': i'll tell thee a tale about a snail that jumped in t'fire and burnt its tail i'll tell thee another about its brother did t'same silly owd bugger haha. found it amusing. :) |
