getting increasingly stressed day by day now. got the promos timetable today before bio lecture. Lit is the same day as Chem! how cld they do this to us. and it's lit text, not PC, which means i haf to somehow study Frost, Measure AND horrible Chem at the same time! and the day after LIt + chem is a free day. why cldn't they plan it so tt the papers wld be separate? and Bio is with Econs, which is just as terrible for the econs ppl, i think. wat is the sch doing to us? cos of the timetable, i think i was sorta shocked so i dint fall asleep during bio lect. i actually listened about artherosclerosis and arteriosclerosis (more severe than the former) and stents and HP and OP. pretty proud of myself. ;-) just remembered 'woman warrior' all of a sudden. i HATE her style of writing. and some words in it, which she says is chinese, is actually Cantonese. eg, 'ho chi kuei' - she thot it was chinese and said she'd been trying to find out what it meant. when it's actually cantonese and means 'like a ghost'. 'ghost' meaning 'white', or american. cos cantonese call ang mohs 'guai loh' (dunno how to spell la) which can be loosely translated into 'ghost'. but who on earth calls americans 'mail ghosts' and mugger ghosts' and 'wino ghosts'??!! YUCK. and why doesn't she just write 'tell a story' instead of 'talk-story'? i realli think i might fail the woman warrior section of the lit paper. cos i hate the text so much. |
