Halloween

went to SPC jus now & they'd put up halloween decorations. lots of the usual stuff like cobwebs (which i was v tempted to rip apart) and a glow-in-the-dark skeleton (wldn't mind having one in my rm) as well as fake spiders &c. ther ewas also thisgrinning skull with huge black pools as eyes and a cloth-body. there's a switch inside it & when u turn it on its eyes flash red and it starts cackling/howling/shrieking. at the same time its body shakes and trembles and it's REALLY CUTE! i cldn't help laughing at how hilarious it looked, trembling away and making funny sounds. i dun think it was s'posed to make ppl laugh, but... it wasn't scary at all. altho i s'pose if one wasn't expecting it, it wld be pretty frightful.
i've nvr celebrated halloweenb4. there used to be a guy in the neighbourhood (some expat or foreigner or sth) who used to dress up on halloween. he'd wear weird costumes or masks and walk ard the streets in broad daylight (probably in preparation for tt nite) and ppl wld stare. cos he was the onli one we saw dressing up for halloween. whereas if this were not s'pore but, say, america, i bet no one wld take a 2nd look at someone in costume on halloween.
