just when i managed to get my parents to pay for the lit trip, i am told tt there will most likely be a grade requirement. looks like i wont be going after all... dammit. for once i wish i had loads of relatives in s'pore so i can visit them and get $$$$. unfortunately wishing will not make dozens of generous and wealthy relatives materialize. i have only 1 grandmother on my mom's side, my dad's in hk (he's the onli one who'd be willing to give me loads of money and spoil us all) and all my cousins and other married relatives are in m'sia and we visited them not long ago and frankly, even if they lived nearby i'm not sure i'd like to see them again. they'd just be forcing their sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy eating habits on my sisters and i and we'd end up several pounds heavier or worse. plus, they speak mostly chinese. if u've heard me speaking chinese,u'll know wat i mean. shudders the size of earthquakes. lots of ppl i noe have baked loads of cookies and stuff like tt. not me. unless my sis is bighearted enough to do some more baking, looks like we'll be either buying or going without CNY food. which is terribly oily and artery-clogging anyway. at least the fridge is well-stocked with fruits. no, strike that. well-stocked with oranges. not mandarin oranges, but oranges. last wk we bought 30 oranges. 30! wait. i checked. i've eaten so many tt there's less than half left. tonight the market will be open till late/when they sell everything. who's gonna get up at 2am to buy groceries that can hardly be fresh after an entire day and night? on the topic of oranges, ytd's bio pract had sth to do with oranges. a quarter of an orange, to be exact. but, seeing how my table always seems to be the slowest to complete the pract (and proud of it =p) we had no time (and cldn't be bothered) to do the orange juice part of the expt. i did, however, want to eat it. but since the knife wasn't washed before cutting it, i left the pathetic quarter of orange lying on the table. the prac was realli a stupid waste of time. dumped more than 60 drops of 4.0mg/cm3 acid in the DCPIP and still cldn't get it to decolourise. wonder how the tchrs cld've gotten their results of 1 drop. okay i realli shld get started on my pc essay. |
