been a while. CTs are over and as usual i'm in a holiday mood. borrowed bks frm the lib so i've been doing little other than reading lately :) proper bks, not stupid notes. currently i'm in the midst of 4 bks! got to keep track of all the plots... finally got proper fins and booties. they cost somewhat, so i'll be using them for as long as they last me, which wld hopefully be forever... went to tioman again last wkend, during the youth day hol. did only 3 dives, but enjoyed the 3 days of relaxation. viz wasn't too gr8. no turtles this time (last time i went to tioman i saw ard 10 turtles in total), no sharks, and of course no manta. nonetheless, it's always gr8 to get away frm s'pore. did a heart dissection today. first dissection for me, on acct of my sec sch bio tchr being afraid of blood and so refusing to allow our class the opportunity of doing any dissection at all. it's not as if there was even loads of blood. managed to see the valves and to locate the diff arteries/veins by poking our fingers thru random holes to see where they ended up. v unprofessional, haha. i'm sure surgeons do not manhandle patients' body parts like we did today... |
