reached Hobart this morning. was picked up at the airport (which is tiny!) & taken to my hall of residence. met some ppl, had lunch wif them, then went to unpack stuff. now at central hobart, having wandered ard looking at the sights for quite some time. it's supposedly 21 degrees now, but it's as hot as sg & v v sunny. cloudless as well. i have yet to explore the uni, tho i did pass by just now... ytd i went to bondi beach in sydney & it's GORGEOUS. to think i'd found phuket beaches beautiful! bondi was WAY more breathtaking. on the bus trip to the beach itself, we sorta went up & over a hill, & from the v top of the hill one cld get an awesome view of the sea, such tt it looked like it was all sea & sky, no buildings to block any view. PROMISE i'll post pix, but it's timetaking & i'll wait till i get the internet set up in my rm b4 i do it. in an internet cafe rite now. i've spent these past few wks in more internet cafes than i have in my past 18 yrs of life :-p more updates soon! |
